I began using Coastal Mini Storage, Cedar Point in August of 2010. We were relocating to Emerald Isle and needed to put an entire household in storage while we were building our retirement home. With Judy’s help we were able to get the temperature controlled units we needed for our furniture, and a under roof storage area for my motorhome. She helped us juggle the dates a little and really went out of here way to make it easier for us.
I rarely comment about service, but felt I had to because I am more than satisfied with the friendly, helpful, courteous service that we have received at this location. I had intended to relocate my motorhome after we moved to our new home, but I have decided to continue storing at Coastal. It’s found a good home when we aren’t on the road.

This is the second year I have used Calabash, Coastal Mini storage to store my motorcycle and trailer. The facilities are excellent and very secure. It is nice to know that your possessions are safe while stored.The rates are fantastic, and Ed the manager ensures that all processes run smoothly. Ed makes you feel at home and always finds time to check and make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. I’m glad I found Coastal, and will be back next year. I highly recommend it to anyone with storage needs !
This is our first time using the mini storage in Calabash, NC. We have travelled from Ontario, Canada and this place was recommended to us as being very clean, friendly and safe. Ed, the manager, made everything simple and easy for us to store our belongings for a 2-month period. I had a storage unit at the Neuse Blvd location for about 9 years. It’s a great place and the managers are a pleasure to deal with. Not only is the facility nice and very clean — there is a bathroom and a dumpster you can use, they will let you borrow their brooms, etc., but also the people are extremely nice and helpful. The manager is super friendly and really goes out of his way to help. He was also very tolerant after we lost the keys more than once. I have had storage at other places where there is no bathroom for customers, or where the people are not helpful, and it makes a HUGE difference when they are nice and helpful! Thanks! : )
I wanted to pass on my highly favorable experience at the Coastal Mini Storage (CMS) here in the Calabash/Sunset Beach, NC area. The CMS team of Ed Whitehead, Manager and Fred Melnichak, Associate, warmly welcomed me to the facility, explained the rental process, carefully reviewed the rental documents with me, gave me a tour of the storage unit and showed me the entry/exit procedure. During my tour of the facility I found it to be very clean and well maintained. Then, they made the experience even better by providing me with a CMS loaner truck to transport my storage items and even lent me a hand unloading some of the items from the truck. They were knowledgeable and helpful; they went above their required duties and I truly appreciated their friendly customer service approach and professional manner, during this rental process. My husband and I were some of the first renters when Coastal Mini Storage opened. The facility is so well kept — clean, safe and secure! We rented in a climate-controlled area. We had called one of your competitors and thought we were going to there location and ended up at CMS Calabash and said well while were here lets check it out. Moved in a few months ago and could’nt be more pleased. The unit we leased was clean and easily accessable. Fred signed us up and was very helpful with our move. The loaner truck was a plus and surely appreciated. Fred also offered any personal assistance if required. Although we did not need assistance with the move, his offer to help was still appreciated. I would reccomend the facility to anyone who is seeking storage facilities.
When I first went in to the store to inquire about storage, I was approached on a very friendly and business like manner. Ed and Fred were very understanding with my situation and very helpful. The units are very clean and security is extremely good.

We got our storage unit from Coastal what a class act. Bob was down there the morning after the strom and is giving a month 1/2 free plus waived all application fees plus the use of his truck. Thanks agian Coastal Mini Storage!!!
Coastal Mini Storage was a life saver yesterday. Bob’s gesture of kindness helped more than you can know. A victim of the storm was given one day to get everything out of the house. The house was lifted off of the foundation and she will not be allowed back in until it is repaired. We had very little time to find a place to store it all. Bob from Coastal Mini Storage met us within 20 min and quickly set us up with a unit. In addition to being extremely kind and helpful, Bob also graciously waived the fee for the unit for the next month for our friend. She had already endured so much and this act of kindness is greatly appreciate. I am so thankful for people like Bob that step up and help others in their time of need. Bob and Coastal Mini Storage are tops in my book!
Bob was amazingly kind to my wife and I as we were in need. A tornado destroyed our house on Saturday April16, and Bob was very helpful in providing us with a storage space for a great deal. Bob was as kind as to rent us a big moving truck for nothing but fuel. Bob kindness gives Coastal Mini Storage a great name, I will recommend to anyone. Plus the place is clean, safe, and the process is simple. Great service cannot get better than this!

I have a motor home and a trailer stored at this unit, and I do alot of coming and going, with both units, and every time either Ed or fred are always there to help me either backl in or hook up. they go out of their way to be helpful. I have rented space from Coastal Mini-Storage Cedar Point on three occasions. Judy listened to my needs and desires and provided excellent solutions. The first time was about five years ago when I needed environmentally controlled space to store thousands of paper documents from a law office. Judy placed me in a temperature controlled unit that securely kept the documents in first class condittion throughout a hot Carolina summer. Next, she provided a larger space (and rental truck) when I moved my law office. Recently, she provided an even larger space (and rental truck) for my home move. I have been with coastal mini storage since they opened the location in Longs, SC. I have been very happy with the excellent service from my friends Travis and Butch who run the complex. It is kept so clean and the climate control units are really climate controlled (not like my previous storage facilities)! The ease of tractor trailers entering the premises makes deliveries very smooth for my business. The use of the storage unit’s on site truck for moving has been very helpful to me twice. I love using Coastal Mini Storage and working with Travis and Butch to help me with my warehouse needs!!

Judy at the Cedar Point office was always very friendly and helpful. Move in/out and making payments were easy. The facility was clean, well lit and I felt safe storing my items there. I was impressed that during the flooding of a tropical storm, my unit never flooded.

Why would you want to store your personal items, boat, trailer, or truck at Coastal Mini Storage? Because this is a professionally managed facility. The entire area is fenced with cameras focused on the buildings and road areas. Your belongings are very secure. Everything is kept neat and clean from the storage areas, office, the area inside the fence as well as the area outside the fence including all the grass surrounding the facility, which is kept neatly cut. The office manager, Travis Smith is a big help and very accomadating in assisting you with your storage needs. You could not find a better place to store your belongings or do business. Furthermore, the location is great!
